Another car could be making its way into the Chinese automobile market and this time around it’s a vehicle from Fiat. The company is so focused on China’s market that it doesn’t seem to notice that they are actually manufacturing the sporty version of a car that hasn’t even made it to Europe.
We’re talking about the Fiat Ottimo Sports Model, a model that might be launching alongside the sedan version that will have its official debut on March 1.
This sports model is based on the Viaggio that was launched back in 2012, a vehicle that sold quite a large number of units, around 3000 per month and actually went to yearly sales of over 48,000 units.
Since we’re dealing with a sports model, we’re hoping for a powerful engine. At the moment there aren’t any details available but the Ottimo could potentially come with the 2.4L Tiger Shark engine that produces 184 HP or a more powerful 1.4T like the one found in the Ottimo and Viaggio models. We’re not certain, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
