Ferrari Lights Up Christmas Tree in Italy

Ferrari CEO Luca di Montezemolo and Brunico’s mayor Christian Tschurtschenthaler lit the 14-meter high Christmas tree yesterday, kicking off a series of Ferrari Christmas activities: on 13 December the company will celebrate Natale Bimbi, a traditional event organized each year before Christmas, and which is dedicated to the Ferrari employees' children, with shows and activities for the whole family.

The Ferrari tree is positioned in the garden in front of the company's restaurant and will glow for the whole Christmas season with 10,000 lights, which, thanks to an energy saving system, consume just 1,400 watt.

Another thing worth mentioning is that the Christmas tree was donated by the city of Brunico to Ferrari... not the other way around, as we were first tempted to believe.

Amongst the guests, some other important attendees, apart from Brunico's mayor Christian Tschurtschenthaler, were Matthias Prugger (Skirama Plan de Corones president), Walter Niedermair (CEO at the Moessmer Spa Brunico) and Andrea Del Frari (Skirama Plan de Corones Director). Ferrari was represented by Chairman Montezemolo, CEO Amedeo Felisa, Head of Human Resources Mario Mairano and Industrial Director Sebastiano Rio.

As memorabilia the Ferrari Chairman handed a Formula 1 exhaust group mounted on a carbon fiber console to Brunico's mayor. Later on, the guests were invited to visit the works and the Fiorano race track, where they had the possibility to drive two cars from the current Ferrari range: the 599 GTB Fiorano and the California.
