Ferrari has released a teaser image of the new 458 Challenge Evoluzione ahead of the race car’s public debut at the Mugello Circuit today.
The Italian company had little to say about the upgraded version of the 458 Challenge, but mentioned the new track-prepped car “makes full use of the experience gathered in GT racing” and features a new rear wing and front splitter.
"The increased downforce generated by the wing, balanced at the front by work carried out to the splitter and the floor, allows drivers to make full use of the 458 Challenge Evoluzione’s dynamics and performance, extending its limits and those of the driver, while improving performance both in terms of laps times and over long distances," Ferrari said in a statement.
The 458 Challenge Evoluzione will be shown to customers today the the Mugello Circuit, so make sure you stick around for more details.
As a reminder, the Ferrari 458 Challenge is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine that delivers 570 BHP at 9,000 rpm. Unlike the street version, the Challenge features a race exhaust system and different gear ratios.
