We can't finish off a good news day without some cool jams to listen to, so here's some more Daft Punk for you guys to listen to.
The song Within from the album Random Access Memories works beautifully with footage shot for Daft Punk's Electroma feature film. (we've included that in the section below)
The story of the album is that the Daft Punk robots are sad because they can't be human. And what do sad robots do? They go for a drive in a Ferrari. This isn't just any old Ferrari, it's the 412. The classic 2+2 coupe is from an era before track cars for the road, and as such has got classic lines from the 70 which we know aren't to everyone's liking.
The 4.9-liter V12 engine is in the front and purrs away like a kitten instead of screaming. Being the first GT with fuel injection, it's got both the soul of a classic Ferrari and the anagogic efficiency of a robot.
No version of the 400 series was ever officially imported to the USA, but this one and many others made it across the Ocean as gray imports later on. For its music video debut, it was completely de-badged, which is why you can't tell it's a Ferrari.
