The smart fortwo is not just a car the size of a shoe, it even looks like one of those custom Nikes with wings, since designer Jeremy Scott had his way with the car. The fantastically strange smart forjeremy was created by smart’s Advanced Design Studio in California and will actually enter production.
The attention to detail seen here is fantastic, from the futuristic interior to those small but sport rims with low profile tires. The body of the car is white and contrasts with the pinkish red glow of the wings. We’re crossing our fingers and hoping the production version is just as good!
“Co-operations with fashion designers are normally limited to selecting interior materials and interior and exterior color schemes. With Jeremy Scott, however, we wanted to go one step further and integrated the typical wings as a central design element in the vehicle body. This was quite a challenge, because it was not just a case of creating a showcar but rather of creating a near-series study with the potential for licensing it for road use in the future,” said Head of Mercedes-Benz and Smart design Gorden Wagener.
