There's nothing that ice cream can't fix. Well, that might apply for smaller stuff like a recent breakup or some bummer in school, but bigger problems require a bigger pick-me-up. Case in point: embattled rap mogul Diddy.
Where we normies say "ice cream" or "a bottle of wine," Diddy says "custom private jet." This summer has marked the downfall of the once-adored rap mogul, often described by fellow socialites and the media as a sort of modern Jay Gatsby: the bon-vivant entertainer who threw the best parties, lived the largest, and showered those close to him with expensive gifts.

As of this moment, Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, is being investigated on suspicion of trafficking and gun-related offenses. A grand jury has been convened to indict him, and he's also being sued in civil court for harassment, assault, and trafficking. His public image has taken a huge hit as well after a video of him attacking ex-girlfriend Cassie in a NYC hotel lobby leaked online.

In the follow-up of Homeland Security raiding his mansions in LA and Miami, the lawsuits, and the video leak, Diddy scrubbed his Instagram of all content. His return to social media comes in the form of one of those show-off videos celebrities often do: pulling to the private jet on the tarmac, boarding it, and muttering some thing or another that could be construed as an aspirational phrase.

Diddy has owned his Combs Air for a couple of years now, after splurging $60 million on it as a gift to himself. It's a custom Gulfstream G550 painted in sleek black, with a custom interior worthy for an A-lister who styled himself as the OG entertainer. In the past, Diddy has shown fans glimpses from inside the jet, also through IG Stories and reels.

Like many other A-listers, Diddy opted for a G550 due to its ultra-long range capabilities. Powered by twin Rolls-Royce BR 710-C4-11 engines, the jet can do 6,776 nautical miles (7,7798 mikes/12,549 km) without needing to stop to refuel. Customization can also turn these aircraft into a celebrity's version of a flying luxury lounge or hotel room or, if need be, a very stylish flying office.

No wonder Diddy loves his. His most recent post shows him walking to the jet, whose silhouette is seen against the darkening sky. The captain is waiting for him on the tarmac, and the two fist bump and exchange pleasantries. Diddy walks up the stairs and as he's about to enter the cabin, he can be heard muttering, "No place like home." He doesn't mention his destination.

There was a time when a simple IG Story like this from Diddy would have sent his followers into a frenzy of adoration. Today, not so much, even though he still has nearly 20 million followers from the original 60 million he had in April before things took a turn for the worst.
