How can you possibly confuse a metro/subway station in Paris with an underground parking lot. It’s less than two meters wide and looks like it was built 100 years ago, yet somebody in Paris thought he had though the ideal place to put his Dacia Duster in.
According to the BBC, the 26 year old driver realized his mistake in time and managed to brake, so the back wheels stopped him from going down the stairway. What’s more, nobody was hurt in this incident, but a crowd and plenty of internet coverage translate into instant humiliation!
The car looks OK, and it might not actually be the driver’s fault because there is no sign indication it’s a Paris Metro station.
"There's a sign saying 'Haussmann Parking' right in front... I made a mistake," the driver, identified only as Johan, told the AFP news agency.
