Driver Ignores Red Light With Severe Consequences

Severe car crashes happen all around the world, and while most of the ones we find are from Russia, this time we found one from the other side of the world - Roselle Park, New Jersey, the intersection between Locust Street and Westfiel Avenue.
A car can be seen right at the start of the video, as it speeds through a very clear red light. It then hits a old 1970s Cadillac or Lincoln, which alters its trajectory, making it mount the concrete lane separation barrier, which launches into the air, in a spectacular John Woo movie kind of way.

Apparently, one person was injured in the accident, but not severely so. The crash was recorded on Roselle Park’s new red-light safety camera program, which has been in operation since May of 2011, and it has reportedly reduced the number of red-light traffic violations by 47%.

However, as this video shows, some drivers still don`t pay proper attention when driving, and they end up in situations such as this.
