Are you still weeping about the demised Chevrolet Camaro? Don't, as no ride should make you sad, no matter how exciting it is. Plus, there is always the possibility to spruce up your life with a used copy, preferably a ZL1.
Arguably one of the best-looking Camaros from the modern era, this fifth-generation Chevy muscle car is in the range-topping specification. Yep, it is a ZL1, so it has a whining V8 motor under that long hood. The supercharged 6.2L V8 was good for 580 horsepower (588 ps/433 kW) and 556 pound-foot (754 Nm) of torque back in the day, and it drove the rear wheels through a manual or an automatic 'box.

If you love changing gears on your own and giving it the occasional heal-and-toe, then you will consider it a plus that this muscle car features three pedals. The brakes came from Brembo and were installed at the factory before this vehicle first saw the light of day, a necessary asset to keep all that power in check. Sure, 580 hp sounds less exciting today than it did early last decade, especially with all the crazy Dodge Hellcats we've seen, but rest assured, it's plenty.

This 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 looks like an automotive shadow. It has a black paint finish, matching five-spoke alloys, and privacy windows. There are no chrome appointments to ruin its murdered-out stance, which continues on the inside with the black leather and Alcantara mix and the occasional red stitching for contrast. From what we can tell, it hasn't received any aftermarket amenities, making it even more appealing in the eyes of a true petrolhead.

Has it convinced you to sign your name on the dotted line? If not, the following part will, as it revolves around its mileage. This muscle car has only covered 4,144 miles (6,669 km) since it rolled off the line. Moreover, the vendor describes it as having been "meticulously cared for and maintained," so it is ready to hit the road again with no elbow grease. The original order sheet and owner's manuals accompany the car and make for interesting lectures if you are into that sort of stuff.

Garage Kept Motors wants to find this awesome Chevy Camaro ZL1 from the fifth generation a new home as soon as possible. Well, maybe not ASAP, as the pricing might make you reconsider the entire plan. It's not the most affordable of its kind, but we have seen pricier ones change hands. So, how much will you have to pay to park it in your driveway? That would be $48,900. You can access the online listing here, and before you do that, let us know if you think it's worth every penny.
