A couple of days ago, we shared two separate projects where people were trying to make a Hellcat wagon. But when looking through our archives, we realized there's a precedent, and one Dodge Magnum is already rocking the Hellcat look, maybe even the engine.
We get it; while the Dodge Magnum didn't sell as well as expected, there are people out there who love a good wagon. We're excited about the Audi RS6 Avant finally making it stateside, but there's something nice to be said about buying an American brand.

Even though the Germans act like they invented the high-performance wagon, there's plenty of family haulers with giant engines back half a century ago when BMW was still playing with four-bangers.

So getting back to this new discovery of ours, it's based on a 2006 SRT Magnum and belongs to @wickdwagon602. The front end swap is pretty interesting, as the air intakes look like the old 2015-2018 Charger while the front fenders match those of the later model Hellcat Widebody.

It's also got a Hellcat hood, but that's pretty much where the illusion ends, as the Magnum's sides are completely flat, lacking those indentations shaped in the doors. And from the back, it just looks like an old car, having blocky taillights instead of the wrap-around ones you on the modern Charger.

Speaking of which, this platform is pretty old, and even though the sedan is showing its age, we won't get a replacement for at least a couple of years. The Charger is pretty much the only American 4-door sedan of its kind. Sure, there's also Cadillac, but those things lose in the displacement war.

Speaking of which, traditionally, the Magnum SRT-8 is rocking its 6.1-liter Hemi engine producing about 430 horsepower. It's not as much as the supercharged Hellcats, but 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds isn't too bad for a car from that era. However, the owner seems to have just finished a Hellcat swap during the lockdown. Keep your fingers crossed.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
