Back in the day when GM’s El Camino was making history, Chrysler didn’t have something to match it. Nowadays, fans are praying for GM to bring back the El Camino, but since very few of them would actually buy one. this isn’t likely to happen. Nonetheless, we now have a virtual answer to the El Camino from Chrysler.
No, we are not talking about some RAM SRT10. Instead, we want to show you a rendering of a Dodge Challenger pickup truck. The adjacent images shows us both the front and the rear of the working class hero and yes, this the SRT version.
Of course, the real world version would have slightly altered proportions, but we get the idea. And we love it. Just think about it - the Challenger is such a lovable car, the kind that can keep you in comfort while sliding from grip to controllable oversteer.
GM brought Holden to the US as the Chevrolet SS, so we wouldn’t mind seeing Chrysler bring the famous Australian UTEs to American soil.
In an effort to keep things real, we’ll remind you that any minute now, Chrysler should reveal the 2015 Challenger at the New York Auto Show.
