No, BMW's M Division hasn't yet unveiled the all-new 2025 M5 Touring, as only its four-door sibling made its world premiere at the end of June. The Munich auto marque says the Audi RS 6 Avant fighter is due this fall, and we already have a very good idea of what it will look like.
All we have to do is look at the 2025 BMW M5 Sedan to spot the novelties over the 5er Touring, as the upcoming BMW M5 Touring will be almost identical. Well, save for the longer roofline, more spacious cargo area, and a few tweaks at the rear.

It will also use the same powertrain, which is a plug-in hybrid that combines the 4.4L V8 twin-turbo internal combustion engine with an electric motor. This setup is almost identical to the XM's, albeit in a different state of tune, and the new BMW M5 enjoys 717 hp (727 ps/535 kW) combined and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque.

The sedan weighs 5,390 lbs (2,445 kg), which is 1,045 lbs (474 kg) more than its predecessor that was two-tenths of a second faster to 60 mph (97 kph) in base form and three-tenths quicker in the Competition flavor. The M5 CS was a full half a second faster. The new M5 Sedan deals with the sprint in 3.4 seconds and pushes up to 155 mph (250 kph) – or 190 mph (306 kph) when ticking the M Driver's Package box on the options list.

As a result, the upcoming BMW M5 Touring should be even slower, and we expect it to reach sixty mph in roughly three and a half seconds. So, where does this put it compared to the Audi RS 6 Avant Performance? The latter deals with the acceleration in 3.3s aided by the 621 hp (630 ps/463 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque twin-turbo 4.0L V8.

Now, while BMW keeps fine-tuning the all-new 2025 M5 Touring, which is coming to America, too, alongside the M5 Sedan, the rendering crowd keeps peeling off its fake skin. Thus, we've seen numerous digital illustrations of the upcoming station wagon, and the latest we stumbled upon came from SRK Designs on YouTube.

For what it's worth, these CGIs are quite realistic, and we expect the new model to look very similar. The pixel manipulator did a great job at imagining the 2025 BMW M5 Touring, and we have a suggestion if they're reading this story: try to fix the design in one set of renderings and give it an aftermarket touch in a future one.

So, what's your take on this model? Is it a yay or a nay? And would you pick it over the competition if you were shopping for an executive super estate?
