Denver Dealer Refuses To Sell 2018 Ferrari 812 Superfast for $331,000, Why So Stubborn?

We’ve seen Chirons and McLarens fail to pull off yellow colorways, whereas the likes of the Corvette does as good a job as any car with it. Like I said, you’ve got to have the right mix and it all starts with the design language.

The Ferrari 812 Superfast is one of the best in the world at pulling off vibrant colors. It’s just the right size to where you don’t feel as though it’s trying too hard. It’s a beautiful car from all angles, which also helps. This particular one, a 2018 example with 7,000 miles on the clock, is absolutely stunning. Arguably one of the most beautiful, yellow-painted cars anyone will ever see.

Of course, since it’s a Ferrari, the yellow is called Giallo Modena, and it works great together with the carbon fiber trim, matte black wheels and the tinted windows. Yet, it failed to sell at auction recently, where the seller (a dealership out of Denver, Colorado), refused to let it go for $331,000. Before we get into the specs, I’ll just say that $331k for a 6-year-old 812 Superfast with 7,000 miles on the clock is a fair price.

Visually, this hyper GT also comes with carbon fiber Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, a surround-view camera system, quad exhaust outlets, plus a set of 20” ten-spoke wheels with Novitec spacers, Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, and black Ferrari-branded calipers. It’s also got the optional front-axle lift system and Novitec lowering springs.

It's worth noting that this car boasts roughly $108,000’s worth of optional extras and when it was new, it retailed for $451,199. This thing is “boss level”.

Interior highlights include the Nero leather carbon-fiber racing bucket seats with Giallo stitching (also found on the dashboard, console and door panels), carbon fiber trim accents, drilled aluminum pedals, rear luggage straps, storage nets, sat-nav, a JBL Professional Hi-Fi sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a carbon-fiber flat-bottom steering wheel with carbon fiber paddle shifters. The original owner did a great job of specifying the interior this way, using Giallo only as a contrasting color.

As for what this can do in terms of performance, you already know it’s got a 6.5-liter V12 engine, which puts down 789 horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque. Everything gets sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. What this means is that you only need 2.8 seconds in order to hit 60 mph from a standstill.
