Every week, we bombard you guys with renderings of bizarre renderings. 2-door SUVs, SUV convertibles and four-door sportscars – frankly, most of them are like chopping a cucumber in half and calling it a salad.
But this isn't. This looks like something we should definitely have and don't. Isn't that right?
The Audi A3 has had a strange, sinuous growth and development pattern. The first generation which was not too long ago was a small car, only slightly longer than today's superminis. It came out as a 3-door and gained a 5-door version as well.
We're now at the third incarnation, which already has four version and is likely to gain a fifth one, the rumored MPV variant. Yet we don't have this beautiful coupe.
Technically, the 3-door A3 is a coupe, but it's more of a cheap alternative, like the Golf 3-door, there to save customers €500.
If we've thought of this, than so have the guys at Audi, and probably decided against it due to overlap with the TT. Bad decision, give us this and we'll be very happy. Right Audi fans?
