Dacia UK has stated their brand will be officially launched in Britain on June 28th. Most likely this only means that order books for the New Duster will be opened then, with deliveries of the RHD version to start in January 2013.
But the otherwise normal press release was actually hiding an ‘Easter Egg’ - Dacia UK says the launch in showrooms will take place with two offerings, the duster and “all-new Sandero supermini”.
Automakers often make unfounded statements about cars being all-new, but judging by the fact that the current Sandero is a lot older than the Duster which is not being described as new, it means we are looking at the second Dacia debut this year, after the Lodgy shown in Geneva.
We wouldn’t be surprised if Dacia shows not only the new Sandero, but also the Logan sedan at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, seeing as the Logan is a much older car now, dating back to 2004.
In Britain, the new Sandero will be priced from £7,000, which is reasonable for a normal car.
