In the absence of an official iPhone 5 snap-in adaptor, some car owners have had to get a little creative with their systems.
A BMW 5-Series has been fitted in this case with a do-it-yourself iPhone cradle meant to take Apples’ latest creation, which as you might have heard comes with a snazzy new cable connector.
A hole was drilled into the bottom of a base plate, where the new Lightning cable was installed. This way, the phone with its protective case on can just slide into connection without having to fiddle around with the cable.
This DIY solution keeps all features except iPod Out functionality and antennae connectivity. Hopefully, when the iPhone 5 Snap-In Adapter is launched around June 2013, all will be well with the phone.
