Following rumors that Nissan and its luxury brand Infiniti might say pass to the 2010 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), representatives of the Japanese companies stepped in front of the media and denied reports, saying that both brands will attend the show.
Furthermore, Nissan revealed that it will display the new QX56 SUV at the show, alongside some other models to be sold in the United States.
"Infiniti will unveil the all-new QX56 full-size luxury SUV at the New York International Auto Show this spring," said Nissan North America product public relations director, Scott Vazin. "The show perfectly suits our needs in terms of launch timing, media attendance and, most importantly, our customer base."
The show organizers are assuring that all major automaker that is currently selling cars in the United States will attend the show.
"Auto shows continue to be one of the best marketing tools for selling cars and trucks," said show director Candida Romanelli.
"In fact, a recent survey conducted at last year's event concluded that auto shows are the number one most reliable source of information for consumers in the new vehicle market and that attending the show significantly increases their purchase consideration. In this economy, we understand the importance of every marketing dollar spent, and we are pleased that Nissan and others consider New York a sound investment," concluded Romanelli.
The 2010 New York International Auto Show will open its doors to the public on April 2 and will run through April 11. There will be two press days on March 31 and April 1.
