We’ve seen countless motorsport accidents over the years, but some manage to still stand out and ask to be shared. Case in point: this little clip showing a car that use to be one of our all time favorites in the hatchback segment - the little Clio Sport, this time in rally disguise.
The driver overcompensates with his steering gets on the grass a bit and loses control of his beloved little 2-liter monster. This is when it starts to get interesting. Instead of flipping like it always happens in NASCAR, the Clio hits the earth bank and starts spinning through the air. It all looks like a fun amusement park ride until the wheels come off.
The bumper is smashed to smithereens and the hatch flies open. The crowd doesn’t look to be affected, but we don’t know anything about the driver, as the video is cut short. We hope he’s alright, but the Clio looks damaged beyond recognition. Too bad, it used to be a good little pocket rocket.
