The Citroen Survolt is one of the ambassadors of electric vehicles, aiming to help those of its kind to be accepted in the combustion-engine dominated automotive world.
Knowing that it had to impress, the vehicle didn’t just come with a superb design, but it also chose to wear an interesting color scheme. However, the car has taken this game to a whole new level, as it has accepted to become a canvas for the French artist Francoise Nielly.
Yes, the world now has a Citroen Survolt art car, a one-off vehicle that will certainly make it to the automotive history books.
“The stunning all-electric Survolt racecar concept has been recharged with a bold, vivid and brightly contrasting new fluorescent paint scheme by Francoise Nielly. A source of inspiration for the original styling of Survolt, renowned contemporary artist Francoise Nielly worked closely with Citroen’s design team to create the exciting new interpretation of Citroen’s 100% electric racer - the Survolt ‘Art Car’,” stated the press release.
The Survolt art car is displayed at C_42, the automotive producer’s “creme de la creme” showroom, which is located on the Champs-Elysees in Paris.
“A specially created LED display on the C_42’s facade welcomes visitors with a multi-screen, digital creation symbolising Citroen’s ‘Creative Technologie’. Inside, the building’s magnificent revolving rotunda presents Citroen’s exciting model and concept ranges across several floors,” stated the press release.
We’ll remind you that Citroen is considering bringing the Survolt into production. If the project receives the green (or multi-colored) light, we will see the French automaker offer the vehicle in limited numbers, as well as establish a one-make racing series for it.
