Chrysler Group has announced that December 2013 sales in the United States increased by six percent, making it the company’s best December sales in six years, while full-year sales rose by nine percent for the strongest annual sales since 2007.
The Detroit-based manufacturer also reported its 45th consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains and its fourth consecutive year of annual sales growth.
By brands, Jeep sales jumped 34 percent last month, followed by Ram with an increase of 17 percent. Fiat ended the years with a one percent gain, while Chrysler brand and Dodge sales dropped by 21 and 9 percent respectively.
The month’s best-selling vehicles were the Jeep Patriot (up 35%), Dodge Charger (29%) Jeep Compass (13%), the Ram pickup truck (11%) and the Ram Cargo Van (11%).
