Chevrolet can’t stop bragging about the 2014 Silverado pickup truck. And we’re not surprised, it’s a really tough market and you can’t fight Ford and Ram unless you do it on all fronts, including the tricky and muddy marketing battlefield.
We can’t argue with all the effort GM has put into developing the redesigned truck, but have a feeling customers look at other things before asking themselves whether their new mule has tie-down hooks or LED box lights. However, Chevrolet thinks the 2014 Silverado has the most innovative cargo box in the segments, which offers, besides the two aforementioned features, an EZ Lift & Lower Tailgate, cornerstep rear bumper and hand grip pockets.
They’re all supposed to help Silverado owners get their toughest jobs done, says Silverado marking manager Lloyd Biermann: “Silverado owners are the doers of the world. Our goal when designing the Silverado’s pickup box was to create something that was stronger, more durable and versatile”.
