Center Line, Michigan Officially Recognized as "Home of Mopar"

The town of Center Line, Michigan, home to some 8,500 inhabitants, has just swapped its old welcome sign, for a new one, which has a very important addition: ‘Home of Mopar’. The town has gained official recognition, and the occasion was marked by a ceremony attended by the local mayor and city manager, who invited Mopar president, Pietro Gorlier to be part of the event.
Gorilier said: “Mopar has enjoyed a major presence in Center Line since 1953 and we are very proud to call it our home [. . .] We sincerely appreciate the mayor making it official by sharing the moniker with the rest of the city and its visitors.” The town mayor, David Hanselman added: “The city celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2011 and it seemed fitting to mark Mopar’s own 75th anniversary this year by adding their name to our welcome signs for all to see [. . .] Mopar has been an integral part of Center Line’s community for nearly 60 years and we want everyone to know that our city is their chosen home.

With their headquarters employing over 1,000 people, Mopar distributes more than 280,000 parts and accessories in 120 countries. Their facilities sit on 80 acres of land which also includes office spaces, as well as so much warehouse space, you wouldn’t even get an echo.
