Castle Combe Circuit Announces 2011 Action Day

Castle Combe Circuit has announced the 2011 Performance Car Action Day will take place Saturday, September 10th, in partnership with one of the UK’s leading performance tuning companies – Forge Motorsport. The event will also incorporates the inaugural “Subaru Saturday” event, set to attract a raft of Subaru owners and fans of the rally-bred marque.

Forge Motorsport will be bringing along a range of their tuning products including intercoolers, alloy tanks, blow off valves and much more to the 1000’s of performance car, drift and track day fans attending the Summer Action Day in early September. Forge will also be demonstrating and displaying some of their highly-modified race and sprint cars – including Bo Neilson’s Astra VXR (2010 Time Attack Champion) that you can see in the picture to the left, Steve Chaplin’s VW RSI Beetle, aka ‘Herbie’ (2010 VW Racing Cup Champion) and Joe Fulbrook’s VW Racing Cup VW Bora 1.8T.

This Summer’s Performance Car Action Day is set to attract over 100 car clubs to the paddock, 1000’s of performance, drift, circuit and track cars on display and, of course, a great value chance to lap the historic 1.85-mile high-speed circuit, with track time costing just £30 a session (booked in advance).

“For almost three decades now, we’ve been running these track-based shows to different car clubs and motoring enthusiasts, where you get a chance to have some high speed thrills on track, as well as share your common interest with 1000’s of people with similar passions in the historic paddock. They are a great day out for all the family, and offer great value for money for those who want to drive our fabulous circuit,” explained the Chairman of the famous Castle Combe Action Days, Howard Strawford.

Tickets for the Summer Performance Car Action Day are only £8 in advance (plus 50p P&P/credit card charge) or £10 at the gate on the day. Under 16s go FREE and there are discounts available for track time and admission for car club exhibitors. Track sessions are available for £30 in advance, or £35 on the day.
