Carlex Design is a family enterprise that grew into a sprawling company dedicated to "becoming the (worldwide) leader in luxury car and private jet interiors." They also create fully bespoke collector's edition cars, and just recently, they outdid themselves with a very unique project.
Whether you live in China, the United States, Hawaii, or Russia, if you are passionate about custom vehicles, you have probably heard of the Poland-based Carlex Design. They have been doing custom interior design for years and also expanded into the aviation industry and fully bespoke commissions. If you want an eloquent example of their craftmanship that's also very recent, check out the Seven Elysium Himalaya collection, which took seven of the most luxurious SUVs in the world to new heights.
The series comprises a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a Lamborghini Urus, a Ferrari Purosangue, a Bentley Bentayga, an Aston Martin DBX, and even a Range Rover. However, Carlex also didn't forget about the quirkiest object of custom adoration – the off-road-focused Mercedes-AMG G 63. This model, which should have never become a luxury SUV in the first place because it's based on a military design and was developed to travel to the end of the world and back, not the local shopping center, is a clear example of how two worlds collide – supposedly it's capable of any (old-school) Land Rover Defender or Toyota Land Cruiser feat but also has the performance credentials of a sports car and the luxury ethos of a Maybach.
No worries, if you didn't think that is possible – although Mercedes and the aftermarket realm have shown times and again its capacity for metamorphosis (now it's also an EV, it can also get suicide doors), here's Carlex chipping in to solidify the SUV's timeless credentials. Meet Carlex Design's latest custom project, which is four years in the making and called G-Falcon. The name is used for obvious reasons – it's a G-Class with metal and gold 3D engravings on the roof depicting a falcon!
The level of outrageousness is clearly above and beyond the call of duty, but the hand-crafted roof with "intricately applied decorative patterns highlighted by subtle touches of gold on the polished metal" that create a falcon's contour surely makes this unique Mercedes-AMG G 63 aftermarket art car. That's not all, of course, because Damian Skotnicki – the Carlex CEO and this SUV's artisan craftsman – together with his team of experts, put hand-engraved patterns not just on the roof but also on the sides and spare wheel cover, all highlighted with gold accents.
The exterior also gets a hand-brushed diamond dust coating and bespoke 24-inch forged wheels along with a custom carbon fiber body kit, of course. Moving inside, this G 63 looks like it aged in oak barrels those four years – the cockpit is clad in hand-patina leather and gets its own hand-stitched intricate details. Naturally, there's something special here, too – the crowning accents are the jeweler-crafted elements made of pure silver. Cool, or not?
