Cadillac’s 2013 total sales in the United States have increased by 22 percent, making it the best year since 2007, the GM-owned brand announced earlier this month.
Additionally, Cadillac claims it was the fastest-growing full-line luxury brand in 2013, when the manufacturer witnessed its largest expansion since 1976 and total sedan sales improved by 48 percent.
“Cadillac saw huge product-driven momentum throughout 2013. Much of that growth came from buyers new to Cadillac, with Lexus, BMW and Mercedes-Benz being three of the top traded-in brands3,” said Bill Peffer, Cadillac vice president of sales and service.
As for December 2013 sales, Cadillac reports the ATS sedan had its best sales month since its launch - with 72 percent of buyers in December being new to the brand - while CTS sales went up 75 percent compared to November.
As a reminder, the Cadillac ATS won the North American Car of the Year and the CTS won Motor Trend’s Car of the Year in 2013.
