With the Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 revealed at the 2014 North American International Auto Show and its model family set to feature no less than four confirmed versions and one yet unconfirmed one, most questions about the car have started revolving about its AMG variants.
As it turns out, the C 63 AMG is coming with a twin-turbocharged V8 that sports “only” four liters later this year, with its market launch to happen sometime in the beginning of 2015.
Sporting a little bit south of 500 hp, it has already been somewhat confirmed that it will “slaughter” the BMW M3's power figures, but the real hardcore version in terms of both power and styling will be the Black Series variant.
As most of you now, Black Series versions have traditionally been based on coupes in the AMG lineup, and a C-Class-based model is in the making as well.
According to AMG boss Tobias Moers, quoted by Motor Authority, a new C 63 AMG Black Series will be arriving in about two years time, and it will be based on the Coupe version of the new C-Class, which in turn is set to be launched at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
