The tiny living movement has a robust and invested following at the moment, and compact dwellings have never been so abundant. There are many benefits to living in a tiny house on wheels, but perhaps the most appealing one is that it allows you to disconnect from the mainstream and live closer to nature.
Buxus is a tiny home on wheels that would fit perfectly into a peaceful clearing in the woods. Specifically designed for a simpler way of life, this model comes with a covered front porch and an inviting interior that merges minimalism with modernity, offering owners a chance to experience the greatness of living in a tighter connection with nature.

Though it is an ultra-compact mobile habitat with a modest 24-square-meter (258-square-foot) footprint, this home can accommodate up to four people and packs a ton of amenities. It was built by Tiny Europe, a company based in the Netherlands that has been crafting environmentally friendly recreational houses and permanent compact homes since 2020.

When it comes to tiny houses made by US-based builders, we've noticed a trend towards larger and more luxurious structures that could compete with their traditional brick-and-mortar counterparts in terms of creature comforts. European builders, on the other hand, seem to stick to the original principles of the tiny house movement, focusing on creating minimalist abodes that allow dwellers to adopt a slower pace of life and concentrate on what matters.

This is also the case with Tiny Europe, a sustainable brand that claims it "cares as much about people as it does about the earth" and seems to be on a mission to give European people who want to ditch conventional living the chance to live intentionally while also protecting the environment.

The builder's Buxus model is a versatile tiny that could serve as a temporary home, an extra home, or a first home. With a rustic exterior clad in thermally treated pinewood siding and an adorable front porch that invites you to experience the serenity of the great outdoors, this compact home might be the definition of charming.

The porch is large enough to fit a couple of recliners, creating a comfortable seating area where you can sit down, sip your favorite beverage, listen to the birds chirping, and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.

Step inside Buxus, and you'll be greeted by an equally welcoming interior that seamlessly blends comfort with practicality. The designers packed function into every square inch and created a living space that feels cozy and spacious. The living room and kitchen share an open-concept layout, with a private bathroom completing the ground floor configuration, while a spacious loft offers a separate sleeping space.

In terms of aesthetics, the interior envelops you in a rustic ambiance dominated by wood furniture pieces and nature-inspired elements. Light natural poplar plywood planks line the interior walls and ceilings, giving it a light and airy feel. The sensation of spaciousness is also enhanced by large windows, a skylight, and a double glass entrance door that let plenty of natural light in. All these elements combined give Buxus a unique charm that nature lovers will certainly appreciate.

A testament to the designers' ingenuity, the downstairs level has a raised platform on which a uniquely designed living room lies, as if on a podium. It is furnished with a rustic sofa with wood framing, a plush area rug, and a glass coffee table, giving it a chich boho vibe. A skylight and a picture window make it incredibly luminous, while a green accent wall adds a calming effect to the space.

This podium-like structure at one end of the house has double functionality, as it hides a massive drawer underneath that can be used as an extra sleeping space or storage space. A floating industrial bookcase adorns the adjacent wall and offers a nice nook to display books, framed photos, and other knickknacks.

The galley-style kitchen is divided into two sections: one for meal prep and cleaning and one for cooking. The first one lies under a big window and includes generous countertops and a deep sink, while the other is neatly integrated under the staircase leading to the loft and includes extra counter space, a two-burner cooktop, and an oven. There is also a fridge beneath the counter for added functionality.

Past the kitchen, you will find a compact bathroom that offers just enough utility for daily use. It is concealed behind a wood barn-style door and is fully functional with all the basics, including a shower, a vanity, and a toilet.

A white staircase that prioritizes storage space leads to the only loft inside this tiny house. It's the typical tiny house loft with limited headroom and just enough space for a double mattress but it offers enough comfort for restful nights. A wood railing offers protection in the sleeping space, while a roof skylight right above the bed is perfect for stargazing.

A cozy interior that merges functionality with eye-pleasing aesthetics, coupled with an outside seating area that beckons you to enjoy your surroundings, makes Buxus a fantastic tiny home that lets you embrace a simpler life in the middle of nature. In terms of pricing, this model starts at €55,000 plus taxes (around $59,000).
