Yesterday we had big news from Mulsanne. The Bugatti Veyron SS was stripped of it world speed Guinness record and the company later released a teaser announcing a new “example of exceptional performance”.
As expected, Bugatti’s “door number 1” preview created a lot of stir and it was only a matter of hours until the first photos claiming to show the automaker’s new creation emerged. If these pictures are authentic, the latest vehicle to join Bugatti’s lineup will be the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Convertible.
Yep, it’s another Veyron and not the highly anticipated 1,600 HP super-Bugatti. According to our source, the WR Convertible Veyron will be unveiled at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show later this month and will become the world’s fastest droptop with a speed of 254 mph (408 km/h). As seen below, the Convertible resembles the Veyron Super Sport, but also has “some unique touches” which will be revealed soon.
The 2013 Shanghai Motor Show will debut on April 19, but until then stick around for updates from Bugatii, who promised share their latest vehicle “over the next few days”.
