X misinformation and propaganda superspreader accounts with pro-Russia stances in regard to the Russian Federation's illegal war in Ukraine have failed to discredit the Ukrainian presidential couple yet again. It all started with a fake sales invoice from Bugatti Paris to Olena Zelenska, the wife of Ukrainian prez Volodymyr Zelensky, shared by Kremlin shills such as Jackson Hinkle.
It was obvious from the outset that said invoice was forged. Here's the gist of it: a sales invoice written in British English by a Bugatti dealership in France with an BSB number in the upper right corner of the document. BSB stands for the six-digit number used to identify the individual branch of Australian bank/financial institution.
The subsequent press release from Bugatti Paris, which denies the alleged sale to the presidential couple, highlights that whoever forged this document also messed up the sticker price of the V16-powered Tourbillon. The plug-in hybrid model is listed in said invoice with a starting price of 3,910,000 euros compared to the 3.8 million euros advertised by the French manufacturer.
However, the superspreaders didn't stop there. An exceptionally awful deepfake video was also produced, starring an alleged employee of the dealership in Paris. The supposed employee said that Zelenska made this purchase whilst visiting the capital of the French Republic on June 7.
It's worth remembering that Zelensky was in France at the beginning of June 2024 to meet with Macron, to address the National Assembly, and for D-Day commemorations. We also have to remember that Zelensky refused to evacuate Kyiv at the beginning of the so-called special military operation, telling partners and the media: "The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride."
Given the aforementioned, those who were baited into believing that Zelensky is capable of dropping that kind of money on a hypercar while Ukrainian soldiers are fending off the Russian war machine should take a good look in the mirror. Back in January 2024, the prez also revealed that his family's income for 2022 was 3.7 million hryvnias or just over 90,000 freedom eagles. In other words, Zelensky couldn't buy a Tourbillon from his current income streams.
Turning our attention back to the sales invoice, the Car Lovers Group took legal action by filing a criminal complaint for usurpation of identity, defamation, forgery, and – of course – the use of forgeries. Bugatti Paris is operated by Autofficina Parigi, which is a part of the Car Lovers Group.
Now that Volodymyr can go back to running Ukraine as best he can due to limited military resources and ridiculously stupid policies coming from the Biden administration, we should also talk about Bugatti's newcomer. Instead of a quad-turbo W16, the Chiron's replacement uses a completely new V16 sans forced induction.
Connected to a quick-shifting transmission of the dual-clutch variety, that leviathan of a powerhouse is joined by three electric motors for a grand total of 1,800 metric ponies or 1,775 horsepower. Better still, the Tourbillon weighs less than the Chiron's 1,995 kilograms (4,398 pounds) despite lugging a high-voltage battery around. Only 250 units are in the offing.
If Bugatti chief executive officer Mate Rimac will ever surprise the Ukrainian presidential couple with a Tourbillon after the Kremlin midget kicks the bucket, yours truly is willing to bet a tenner on Zelensky and Zelenska auctioning the hypercar off and donating all proceeds from the sale to the reconstruction of the country.
