Social media has been boiling with rumors of a Bugatti EB110 revival special, mostly thanks to the automaker having released a teaser video earlier this week. Well, those rumors have turned out to be true and you are now looking at the Bugatti Centodieci (yes, that's "110" in Italian), which has leaked online.
The new Molsheim machine will have its official debut tomorrow at Pebble Beach, but there are plenty of leaked images here, so we can get a complete look at the thing, at least as far as the exterior is concerned.
The EB110 Super Sport inspiration is obvious in the design, even though the Centodieci is based on the Chiron, just like the Divo and the La Voiture Noire one-off.
Up front, the horseshoe grille has been shrinked, while the intakes sitting after the side windows are easily visible and the uber-thin LED taillights also reming us of the Veyron's predecessor. Ohn and let's not forget the old&new wheel design.
Of course, the Bugatti Centodieci will come as a limited edition, with only ten units expected to be produced. As for the price tag, it wouldn't surprise anybody to see each example being offered for around $9 million. So this will be the most exclusive and expensive contemporary Bug save for the $19M La Voiture Noire one-off.
The Centodieci could always be a "preview" for the expected SS version of the Chiron, so perhaps its quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 will be pushed past the 1,500 hp border that defines current Bugatti models.
Nevetheless, the show car coming to Pebble Beach might be far from ready, which means it will be probably be powered by a small electric motor, as it has been the case with the Divo and the La Voiture Noire displayed in Geneva this year.
The world premiere of the Bugatti Centodieci is set to take place in 25 hours from now and you'll find the livestream video below.
And while Bugatti is playing the let's see what we can build on top of the Chiron game, it's worth mentioning that Alexander (Sasha) Selipanov, the man who deserves plenty of credit for the styling of the hypercar, has recently been appointed Head of Design at Koenigsegg.
In fact, here's the announcement the Swedes made yesterday:
