Bruce Wayne is rich. Filthy Rich. So rich, in fact, that the man can easily afford to fight the most vicious evil of the Universe alongside superheroes, without actually having any superpowers of his own. And with such richness (and power) comes a shroud of darkness that makes the famous DC character even more mysterious and appealing.
There have been countless iterations of Batman over the many years since the character was created, and each one had its own interpretation of the Wayne Manor, the home of Gotham City's most famous resident when he is not fighting crime. All of them have been, naturally, fictional, so none of us really got to experience the luxury Bruce lives in firsthand.

For a select few, that state of affairs may change this month. That's because over in Manhattan, New York, on West 17th Avenue, a seven-story townhouse was converted into the Wayne Manor by Discovery Global Consumer Products (the group that handles licensing for the brands Warner Bros. owns) and Relevance International (a PR agency).

You may be familiar with these two names from a previous story we ran not long ago here on autoevolution. It had to do with the two companies giving the green light to an automobile maker by the name Pininfarina to replicate the look and feel of the Batmobiles on the hypercars it normally makes.

Those would be the B95 and Battista. Two examples from each of these two model lines have been treated to a makeover that created a "collection of bespoke pure-electric vehicles" inspired by Bruce Wayne.

The two companies mentioned above helped with the design of the four vehicles, and what resulted are two unique pairs of cars called Gotham and Dark Knight. All of them feature a nav system that uses the voice of Alfred Pennyworth (unclear which one), and the infotainment display shows a Wayne Enterprise logo on startup.

The two Gothams, a B95 and a Battista, come with a tan leather interior with matching stitching and bespoke quilting in the center panels, special wheels (20 inches front and 21 inches rear) with a matt black inner and gloss black outer rings, and a unique paint job.

Meant to honor "the more gentle, civilian sophistication of Bruce Wayne," the two vehicles are also adorned by Wayne Enterprise logos on the exterior and interior.

The Dark Knights, one for each of the two models, are specced in black leather upholstery and Nero Profondo gloss paint. They are intended to remind people of the character's soft spot for using technology to fight crime.

Normally, that would have meant all sorts of gizmos and gadgets going into the rides, but that's not the case here. The only technical upgrades, if they can be called that, are the fitting of wheels in a ceramic-polished look, in the same size as with the Gothams, 20 inches front and 21 inches rear. They, too, sport all the proper badges and logos that reference the character.

The two Battista models have been fitted, for the first time, with panoramic glass roofs for both driver and passenger, and interior lighting has been included all around.

Mechanically speaking the four vehicles are still their former selves, rocking an electric drivetrain comprising an 120 kWh lithium-ion battery and four electric motors capable of delivering 1,900 horsepower. Thanks to this setup, the vehicles are capable of accelerating faster than a Formula 1 car, reaching 62 mph in under two seconds.

When it presented the special vehicles at the beginning of May Pininfarina did not say how much they are worth or who they were meant for. Just to give you an idea, though, consider the fact the standard version Battistais worth $2.2 million, while the B95 is double that.

Turns out the vehicles were meant for whoever will have them, as all four are presently inside the seven-story townhouse in New York that replicates the Wayne Manor. They are not alone in there, but are accompanied by "highly-curated luxury and tech products" from the fields of personal mobility, fashion, technology, and jewellery, all of which are for sale.

The reason why so many things related to Bruce Wayne are taking place is that the beloved persona and his superhero alter-ego are turning 85 years old in 2024. It was back in 1939 when the characters appeared for the first time in the Detective Comics #27 published by DC Comics.

Because of that, every single element to be found inside the Wayne house in NY is inspired by the fictional billionaire. Those who manage to get inside - the event and location are invitation-only, so not open to everyone – get a tour of the premises at the hands of Alfred Pennyworth and Lucious Fox.

The Wayne house on West 17th Avenue is open until the end of the month, but sadly we can't tell you who you should contact to get an invitation.
