There have been recent unfounded rumors concerning the alleged killing of the cabriolet version from the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class lineup.
We disproven Edmund's “insider” claim that the convertible project was deemed too expensive to actually enter production and be profitable, but our debunking article was based on a spyshot taken quite some time ago.
We're pretty sure that you're aware about the countless first leaked and then officially revealed images depicting the interior of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205.
Guess what? The above photo is not of the C-Class W205 interior, despite some people confusing the buttons with the ones from the recently released images, but of the very real and bound to be released most likely in 2014 C-Class A205 Cabriolet interior.
As you can see, apart from the cooling and heating buttons for the front seat there is also an Airscarf button, which would indicate this door panel comes from a Mercedes-Benz convertible. For the record, none of the current three-pointed star models featuring this technology has the Airscarf button situated on the door.
