Brabus will use the upcoming 2012 Essen Motor Show to show us how its famous Widestar treatment fits the new Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, but the company has now released a video that showcases the development.
As usual, the visual changes are just the tip of the iceberg and the part we’re really interested lies hidden beneath the body panels. Thus, the twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine was boosted from 544 hp and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque to 620 hp and 820 Nm (605 lb-ft) of torque.
The power increase is accompanied by a redefined road connection - Brabus fitted the car with its electronically adjustable Ride Control, which allows the driver to choose between the comfort and the sport modes. The person behind the wheel will also get to play with the sound of the exhaust, as the tuner gifted the vehicle with a valve-controlled exhaust system.
The driver, as well as the passengers, are treated with a new leather finish, as well as with other special materials, as customers can choose between a wide range of materials and finishes.
