We met Eric via UPDLT and all we know about him is that he's an architect and an avid US-engines enthusiast. And since Eric was not entirely happy with creating only houses, the next step was this 2005 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 Superlow he bought in a pretty mauled condition.
After checking the frame, Eric went on building his dream bike, a Sportster cafe-racer with a ton of racing attitude. Since the stock Sportster is anything but a cafe-racer, the geometry of the machine had to be changed altogether.
Eric revised the stance using a different mounting position for the fork and replacing the rear shocks. Tarozzi rearsets came in place and Eric was the one engineering the new stance of the Sportster and the riding position.
Then he sourced the beautiful shiny aluminium tank from a '60s British racing bike and then started meddling with the Harley engine. In the end the power unit got a big-bore kit and now packs a hefty 1250cc displacement, matched to upgraded camshafts, Dynojet kit, Dyna 2000TC-3 ignition, and a K&N air filter. Eric has not yet determined the power increase of the new bike, but promises he'll have it on a dyno quite soon.
Adding in the late 60s racing fairing and the custom ribbed leather seat and a sober, silver paint job has been the finishing touch for this awesome road racing beast. Trés belle!
