European Auto Source got its greedy hands on a BMW E86 Z4M and decided to turn it into a proper race car with the help of the guys from ESS, who are obsessed with forced induction.
When it first rolled onto the dyno track, the Z4M put out 278 WHP. The stock inline 6-cylinder 3.2-liter S54 engine of the Z4M was fitted with a ESS VT2-525 Supercharger system, an Arqray Exhaust System, Macht Schnell Headers, an upgraded Setrab oil cooler with heavy duty brackets, new billet crank, water pump and bigger injectors.
After all the parts were installed, they put the Bimmer to the test once again. The power output now read 444 WHP and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque, worthy of a track car.
Of course, they had to take the car to a racetrack and see whether all those parts can actually work together. Fortunately, they also took a camera and decided to share some photos with us.
