The BMW XM Mystique Allure was on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in Southern France, in the company of British supermodel Naomi Campbell. The model is painted in ultramarine and sports a hood covered in velvet.
The XM Mystique Allure is a one-off creation that BMW took to Cannes. The German automaker is the Official Automotive Partner of the renowned film festival for the third year in a row.
The model is based on the first high-performance sports car from BMW M and is powered by the M Hybrid drive system. It is extravagant no matter how you look at it. Inspired by British supermodel Naomi Campbell, it comes with exclusive materials usually used in haute couture and sports unique soundtrack made in collaboration with film composer Hans Zimmer.
The driving track that Zimmer created for the Naomi Campbell-inspired vehicle provides an emotional experience. In the all-electric mode, every input to the accelerator is accompanied by an engaging sound that represents the BMW XM's performance.
On the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, it was Naomi Campbell the one who presented the XM Mystique Allure in front of an audience of selected guests, outside the Palais de Festivals et des Congres.

Naomi, who is now 53 years old, says that watching the project become reality has been an incredible experience and explains that she feels honored to be the inspiration for BMW's first-ever high-fashion show car. She labels the XM Mystique Allure as a unique masterpiece in every aspect. It is the first in the band's history to use materials from the high fashion industry.
The car wears blue, which is the supermodel's favorite color. It actually sports a deeply saturated ultramarine shade with a matte finish. Rich velvet and Frozen metallic, ranging from intense violet to deep ultramarine. Meanwhile, all of the surfaces onboard the XM are covered in purple velvet.
For the film festival, BMW will offer an exclusive shuttle service of more than 200 vehicles. The BMW i7, the iX, and the i5, alongside the plug-in hybrid XM will be part of the emission-free fleet for the VIP guests.
It is not the first time BMW has teamed up with Naomi Campbell. They first worked together on the "Dare to be You" launch campaign for the BMW XM.
The XM stands as the first model since the iconic BMW M1 to be built as a standalone high-performance car and is the most powerful production model bearing the BMW M badge.
The M Hybrid system pumps out 736 horsepower (748 metric horsepower) and 737 pound-feet (1,000 Newton meters) of torque. The XM flashes from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 3.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of 175 mph (282 kph).
