By know, BMW know we’ve figured out all about their diesel-powered X6 facelift, which is supposed to offer a tri-turbo 3-liter straight-six oil-burner with 381 horsepower, so the second teaser video they offer is all about metaphors.
"This is a new kind of car. On every road, you feel like you're on a race track,” says Brian Watts, BMW M GmbH Head of Global Sales and Marketing.
In the video, his description is mirrored by that of the Sales Director Thomas Schemera who says "It looks like a sports machine, it sounds like a sports machine." He also adds that "the steering is amazing for a street car" and "you don't fear stopping.”
With statements like that, the whole world will expect the unexpected and should now be ready for a diesel-powered M, which sort of makes sense considering how much gas costs these days. If they pull this off, it might just be the way of the future. Also expect this new diesel unit to be used in an AWD 5-Series and maybe even the X3.
