As usual, BMW takes care of its customers and their pride. In case you already bought a BMW F30 330d and were worried about the new Audi A4 with its 3-liter TDI engine that produces 272 HP, the guys from Bavaria got your back.
After announcing the launch of the fastest BMW 3 Series to date (non-M), that will destroy the A4, the propeller badged manufacturer will also take care of the people that already bought the most powerful diesel available for now, the 330d.
They are now offering a performance power kit for this model, in almost the same fashion as the one for the 335i. This PPK will upgrade the power output of the 3er and take it up to 286 HP and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque, a 28 HP increase over the stock 258 HP.
In order for this to be achieved without damaging the engine, your car will receive a new, more powerful intercooler, an improved air intake and an ECU remap. The price for this kit hasn't been announced yet but it's expected to be similar to the one for the 335i, around €1,000 ($1,300).
