A BMW M4 lost control of the car, slammed into a bike stand in the heart of London, and ripped off the rear wheel on the left side. Passers-by stopped and stared at the car suspended on its own wheel as if it were a jack.
We are not going to go with the stereotypes and label BMW drivers as reckless because that is not what they are. There are so many responsible drivers out there driving a Bavarian model, using turn signals, and not doing power slides on public roads that it would not be fair to call all of them that.

It goes the same with Mustang drivers, who have already been banned from Coffee and Cars meetings, together with those who own a Chevrolet Camaro, a Dodge Challenger, or a Charger, unless their cars are classics. However, the organizers haven not mentioned how old these cars need to be to be allowed at the reunions.

It is obviously not the brand that makes the driver. But there are cars out there that are not for everyone. And the BMW M4 is definitely one of them. It must be the 473 horsepower (480 metric horsepower), the 406 pound-feet (550 Newton meters) of torque, and the rear-wheel drive that confuse some of those who get behind the wheel of the M4.

It is probably the case of this M4 driver, who lost control of his car on a crowded and slammed into a bike stand, taking down a trash bin in the process. A video uploaded to social media shows the car sitting with its rear end suspended mid-air, on its own rear wheel, as if it were a jack lifting it. It happened on a busy street in east London. According to Daily Mail, witnesses claimed that it was a miracle that nobody got injured in the incident.

The driver reportedly got out of the car and walked away, abandoning the BMW in the street. The door and front fender on the left side, as well as the hood, are seriously damaged. A bike, seriously deformed, is trapped under the car. People stop and stare at the bizarre sight. It is not every day that they see a BMW "parked" like that in London.

When it was in one piece, the BMW could flash from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 3.8 seconds and ran the quarter mile in 12 seconds at 121 mph. The speedometer could go as fast as 180 mph (290 kph). But those are all gone with a wheel ripped off. The top speed of this M4 is the top speed of the trailer that took it away. The owner has yet to see whether this BMW is going to be a write-off or not.
