BMW introduced the first petrol powered M Performance car in the form of the nimble yet mighty M135i. So, to give us a better idea about the thinking behind this car and the possibilities it opens up, a new promo video takes us through the main aspects.
The M135i can be considered a true flagship of the 1-Series range. This is not just a big engine and a body kit, as BMW has reworked the suspension to give it a sporty upgrade. They even had to come up with a new tire for the car.
The main toy you get to play with, however, is found under the bonnet, where a 3-liter straight six-cylinder engine resides, ready to unleash a fury of 320 horse. This means that with the automatic version, you’ll be able to humiliate most sportscars with your zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) time of 4.9 seconds.
And when they stop for gas to feed their thirsty engines, yours will keep going because it does 7.5 l/100km.
The body features typical BMW M aerodynamically enhanced features, a huge grille flanked by intakes for the massive brakes.
