The EV revolution is soon going to take over the world and the BMW i3 is going to be at the forefront of the entire movement. Just as we're speaking, the world's first i3s are being delivered to dealerships around the world.
One of the first ever to receive it was the Sytner Harold Wood dealership in Rolford, UK. According to them, there have been plenty of orders for the new city-car but customers will have to wait until December for the first deliveries to begin.

Until then, they can feast their eyes on the new car, inside the dealership and talk to some i Geniuses about it. If you don't feel like talking to someone face to face about the urban 'monster' you can find everything you need about it here, on our blog.

The i3 is powered by an electric motor that produces 170 HP and 250 Nm of torque that is capable of taking the lightweight car made out of CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) up to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.3 seconds.

Weighing just under 1,200 kg (2,635 lbs), you'll get around 100 miles out of the 22kWh battery tucked neatly under the floor and even more with the range extender feature (that is a 2-cylinder 650 cc scooter engine that recharges the battery).

Prices in the UK start at GBP25,680 with a Government electric car grant of GBP5,000. You can also lease it for three years starting at GBP369, with a GBP2,995 deposit.
