The Techno Classica 2014 edition will be seeing an important contingent of BMW classic cars on display, part of the biggest and most important gathering of vintage automobiles.
Over 1,250 exhibitors from 30 countries will be showcasing their vehicles in Essen across no less than 20 open-air halls. Starting today and up to March 30, 2014, BMW Group Classic will have it’s own collection on display in Hall 12.
Of course, as we’ve been getting used to by now, alongside classic and famous BMW models we’ll also get to see classic Minis and the heritage of the Rolls-Royce brand that is celebrating 110 years of automotive excellence.
Amongst the BMW Classic cars you’ll spot a BMW 328 Mille Miglia Touring Coupe replica, mirroring the racing car that claimed a class victory in the Le Mans 24 Hours race nearly 75 years ago. Nearly 60 years after that victory, another BMW-powered vehicle rose to the number one spot in the world’s most famous endurance event, the BMW V12 LMR that will also be showcased.
The first ever BMW M3 and the legendary BMW 3.0CSL will join the aforementioned cars while the BMW Motorrad division came prepared with the BMW R 37 and BMW R80 G/S bikes. For more info, check the press release section, below.
