BMW is finally introducing the new 640d, equipped with their straight-six diesel engine, in right hand drive to the UK market. The sale debut is scheduled for October 15th and to attract fans to the oil-burning GT, they’ve introduced a video of the car looking its best with the help of some white paint and some M Sports bits for the body (of the car) and soul (yours).
We’ll remind you that the 640d is powered by a 3.0-liter diesel with common-rail direct injection and twin turbos. To make sure you don’t miss your gasoline when you hit the pumps, the output of the engine is a remarkable 313 hp, enough for a 0-100km/h (62 mph) spring in 5.5 seconds for the coupe.
If you want your 6-Series diesel to look like the upcoming M6, the BMW M Sport package will bring you a more aggressive looking bumper, LED foglamps, 19 inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke design, sports seats with Alcantara/leather upholstery and an M leather steering wheel.
With good economy and decent acceleration, this diesel is the best of both worlds.
