From “thunderstorm” to “heavy showers”, the weather’s gone insane since we grabbed the keys to our 2014 BMW 4 Series test car. As if the car knew it would meet more water than a racing boat, it presented itself to us in a rear-wheel drive form. For the fun of it.
Right now we’re testing the limits of the grip and we have to tell you the standard’s pretty high. The M Sport steering wheel feels too thick in our hands, but the rest of the connection to the road is pleasing.

We’ve been bathing in the urban traffic for the last coupe of hours, so it’s time to move on to the open road. There’s one question that’s been on our lips ever since we saw the first pics of the 4 Series.

We want to know if this thing has itself personality to set itself apart from the BMW 3 Series. We’ll tell you that and throw in some hot cupcakes in our BMW 4 Series test drive.
