Adding 1 to a number makes it bigger and better, and so too has going from a 3 to a 4 made BMW's compact coupe a superior car.
Leaked photos of the new 4 Series Coupe, codenamed the F32, have emerged on German website motor-talk.de. Clearly a bit wider and longer than the outgoing model, evolutionary design has created one of the sportiest two-door cars on the market right now.
We are still waiting for the official word from BMW, which in all likelihood will arrive by tomorrow mooring. Still, there's a lot we can tell you just from these photos, which show one car in normal configuration and another wearing the Sport package.
The badges on the back are the 420d, equipped with a 2-liter 184 PS and 380 Nm of torque. This base model should be available in Europe right from launch. The same engine is marketed in the US as the 328d sedan model, but it's unlikely a diesel option will be offered there, not from launch at least.
Speaking of the US, the 4 Series coupe offered there will debut with the familiar 2-liter and 3-liter turbo engines: 428i and 435i, both of which should also be available with xDrive.
