The latest creation wearing the M badge from BMW, the 1 Series M, completed the creation circle this week, after the German auto maker announced the pricing of the model for the US and Europe, as well as the prices for the options which will be offered to go with the model.
According to BMWblog, in North America, the model will sell starting from $47,030, while the European price has been set at EUR32,256 ($43,830). But that is only the starters, as the list of options offered by BMW, most of them too good not to have, might bring the price to an even higher level. Below is the list of options and packages BMW will be offering for the 1 Series M.
Otherwise, the model will be offered as it was presented at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) this January. Meaning it packs a 2,979 cc in-line six-cylinder twin-turbocharged unit, which develops 340 hp and 450 Nm of torque(or 500, if you activate the overboost function). Those figures translate into a naught to 62 mph acceleration time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
According to the information provided a while back by the auto maker, the US will get 600 units of the model in the long run, while Canada will have to make due with only 200.
