Bentley Mulsanne Has Enough Technology to Produce Its Own Ad

What better way to advertise a gorgeous luxury car than using it’s integrated top-of-the-edge technology right on the spot? Well, that’s what Bentley designers had in mind anyway. We must say, considering they’ve only used an iPhone 5s the ad looks pretty good.
Bentley Motors just published their new Bentley Mulsanne ad, called “Intelligent Details”. Meant to be a proof of the way the exclusive luxury car integrates the latest top technology on the market, the short film was shot and edited using only iOS software.

The advertisement, shot on an iPhone 5s was filmed in New York. The exquisite clip shows Bentley’s Director of Design, Luc Donckerwolke, and Head of Exterior Design, SangYup Lee, speaking about the beautiful car and how the film was made. After shooting it only using the same devide millions of people own and some other hand accessories, including iPhones lenses and mounts, the producers cut it using an iPad Air. Finally, to stick everything together in a mild 4,25 minutes long video, they used iMovie iOS app.

As to the car itself, let us just remind you a couple of details that just make this one a dream-come-true type of ride for any driver or passenger that gets to drive it. We’re talking about an 6.75 liter twin-turbo L Series V8 engine that has iPad picnic tables, a WiFi hotspot and a large tilt-opening tinted glass sunroof, amongst other things.

At the end of the ad there’s a nice behind-the-scenes part. It shows how the use of the iMovie iOS software helped the filmmakers to be able to carry out the majority of the editing work right from the back seat of their car. That is kind of cool, we might add.
