Elon Musk claimed that the Tesla Cybertruck was bulletproof at first. Then, he switched to the next best thing, "bullet-tough." However, it surely isn't skateboard-proof. Kids skateboarding on the top of the EV cracked its windshield. The owner shows up in the video laughing.
Tesla has been trying to prove how tough the Cybertruck is since day one, when it unveiled it but gloriously failed on day 1. Back then, right on the stage, in the spotlight, in front of a gazillion people watching the unveiling online, Tesla's chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen, shattered the passenger-side windows of the Cybertruck by hitting them with a steel ball and a bat.

Once Tesla started delivering the Cybertruck on November 30, we started seeing owners testing the durability of the pickup truck for themselves, putting it through the toughest challenges out there. Shooting at it, kicking it, jumping on it, throwing metal balls at it, and slamming a shopping cart in it are just a few of the tests it was put to.

Earlier this year, Tesla's lead engineer asked people to stop the torture. "Cybertruck has lived a tortured life for entertainment. […] Now we've confirmed it's tough, maybe Cybertruck can roam freely on and off-road in peace?" Wes Morrill posted to X.

But it seems that his pledge was in vain, and people kept on torturing the electric pickup truck. The latest test it has been put through was skateboarding. A video uploaded to Instagram shows young people going up the tonneau cover with their skateboards. It is the tonneau cover that is capable of withstanding up to 300 pounds (136 kilograms). They jump on the panoramic sunroof and slide down the windshield.

The first skateboarder in the video to go up the Cybertruck loses his balance and slams into the windshield, which instantly cracks. Everyone around gets closer to the vehicle to film or photograph the damage. The skateboarder tries again and, this time, he gets it right.

The one getting up the Cybertruck next only enhances the damage with a crack right in the center of the windshield. We don't know if the panoramic sunroof held up better under the wheels and weight of the skateboarders.

This is definitely not the first time this vehicle has been through such tough events. The model showing up in the video has its doors marked by bullets. The hood reads @jellybeanbrainss, which leads us to an Instagram profile that shows what Tesla's first pickup truck has been through for the past few months.

The owner, a controversial young woman who also shows up in the skateboarding video holding her phone, is apparently making a living out of tormenting her electric pickup truck.
