The good folks over at the racing-focused ImportRace channel on YouTube are not at their usual venue - Island Dragway in Great Meadows, New Jersey but rather pendulate between Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas, Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida, and Maryland International Raceway in Mechanicsville, Maryland.
As always, we are more than happy to be grateful for these switches because the action has been quite interesting, both in terms of drag and roll racing. This was also true at Maryland International Raceway, where RaceMotive organized a massive drag and roll racing event – and some racers even participated in both types of battles.

For example, the videographer caught on tape an extravagant Audi TT RS – the high-performance version of the long-lasting 2+2 coupe and roadster series that was produced by the Ingolstadt-based automaker between 1998 and 2023. Just like the more expensive R8, it's now defunct – but that doesn't mean it won't live forever in the hearts and minds of quarter-mile dragstrip enthusiasts.

One of the main factors for this legendary status might be ensured by the platform's tuning abilities. In this case, the author of the video claims this gray Audi TT RS is capable of churning out no less than 900 horsepower. Since it's a very light and compact sports car, that's a really potent combination, if true.

Well, as it turns out, this Audi TT RS is one of those little rascals that can drop sub-ten-second quarter-mile ETs without breaking a sweat. More precisely, the first skirmish was against a prepped C7 Chevrolet Corvette, and while the American sports car took an early lead thanks to its driver's better reaction time, in the end, it had to admit defeat following a shameful 9.72 versus 14.26s result.

We reckon something bad happened midway through the Corvette's run because its driver obviously lifted off the accelerator pedal. Still, there was no time to ponder – instead, we need to refocus on the second skirmish revealed in the video embedded below, set up against an older Dodge Charger SRT. This was also a gray rascal, but that didn't stop the feisty Audi from teaching this second American fighter a quarter-mile dragstrip lesson of the 9.97s versus 11.37s variety.

Last but not least, the fearless Audi also participated in the 65-mile roll race stages of the RaceMotive competition at MIR – and this time around, it went up against a yellow C6 Chevrolet Corvette that was clearly also in a league of its own. Well, this skirmish was one for the ages – and while one of the staffers didn't care this was filming and got in the way of the electronic scoreboard, we still found out the American sports car narrowly lost this final redeeming battle with the trap speed of 169.04 mph versus Audi's 170.41 passes. So close, right?
