APR has recently decided to offer us a new fruit of its passion for tuning VW Group vehicles and this time we are dealing with their Stage 1 kit for the Audi S7, a product that's still in the development phase.
The aftermarket developer has released a video that shows an acceleration overlay for the stock and the modified versions. The instrument cluster was shot for the normal and custom settings and the images were overlapped, so now we can clearly see the real world performance gain.
APR’s Stage 1 consists of an ECU remap for the the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that powers the S7. However, the tuning company hasn’t released the output gain figures yet. We’ll remind you that the stock engine delivers 420 hp between 5,500 and 6,400 rpm, as well as 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque between 1,400 and 5,200 rpm.
The tuning company only explains that its Audi S7 Stage 1 kit manages to take 2.2 seconds off the acceleration time for the 60 to 130 mph run (97 to 209 km/h).
